After battling evil, saving Hyrule and becoming the Hero of Time, Link steps away from the land that made him a legend. Setting off on a personal journey of his own, our hero finds himself in the mysterious land of Termina.\n\nWhile trotting through the woods on his trusty steed, Epona, Link is ambushed by a strange, masked boy known as Skull Kid and his two fairy partners. The troublesome trio steal Epona and the precious Ocarina of Time from Link, and as a final nasty trick Link is cursed and turned into a Deku Scrub!\n\nIn the confusion, one of Skull Kid’s fairy friends, Tatl, is left behind. Reluctantly, Tatl teams up with Link so that she can reunite with her fairy brother, Tael. While following Skull Kid’s trail, Link encounters an odd salesman with a strong interest in weird and wonderful masks.\n\nThis mask salesman has also fallen victim to that imp from the woods’ trickery, and has had a particularly dangerous mask stolen from him – Majora’s Mask. He offers Link a deal: if he can find Skull Kid and recover both the Ocarina of Time and the stolen mask in the next three days, he’ll lift Link’s curse. Left with no choice, Link agrees and begins his search.\n\nBut it soon becomes apparent that things are not what they seem in Termina: the moon looms menacingly over the land, creeping ever closer to the land as the days pass. At the end of the third day of his quest, Link finally meets Skull Kid atop a clock tower and manages to reclaim the Ocarina of Time. Remembering a magical melody taught to him by Princess Zelda, the Song of Time, Link is able to rewind time by three days just as the moon looks set to crash down.\n\nNow Link must race against and across time to help the people of Termina, get Majora’s Mask back, and seek out the powers that can stop Skull Kid and prevent the moon’s descent. Termina’s days are numbered, and the Hero of Time is the only one who can save the day…
