Adding lighting allows your security cameras to "see" clearly in dark environments. A conventional security camera with IR light produces a black and white image, which usually loses detail.
White light cameras produce colorful images, but having the lights on all the time can be distracting in some situations.
To solve these weaknesses, Hikvision has developed a new approach to complementary lighting technology, smart hybrid lamps.
Security cameras with smart hybrid lighting offer three additional lighting modes:

- IR mode : The IR light is always on and the video image remains black and white (at night).
- White light mode : White light is always on and the camera captures color images 24/7.
- Smart Mode : In this mode, if there is no target in the area, the camera will only use the IR light, which is invisible to the human eye and is environmentally friendly. When a target appears, the camera automatically activates the white light, resulting in vivid color images with clear details. In Smart mode you can benefit from overall security and sufficient flexibility.
