De Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO is een cameralens ontworpen voor Nikon F camera's die een nieuwe wereld opent voor macrofotografie. Deze lens biedt een indrukwekkende maximale beeldvergroting van 2x, wat in de praktijk betekent dat gebruikers het gefotografeerde object twee keer zo groot in beeld kunnen brengen dan de daadwerkelijke grootte. Hiermee onderscheidt de lens zich van conventionele macro-objectieven doordat het kleinste details zichtbaar kan maken.
Optische Prestatie
Met een lensconstructie van 12 elementen in 10 groepen zorgt deze lens voor scherpe en heldere beelden. Het diafragma met 7 lamellen creëert een zacht en aangenaam bokeh, waardoor het onderwerp goed loskomt van de achtergrond. De vastgestelde lichtsterkte van f/2.8 faciliteert het werken onder verschillende lichtomstandigheden. De optische prestaties worden versterkt door de APO-designatie, wat staat voor apochromatisch, waarbij chromatische aberraties vrijwel geëlimineerd worden. Dit resulteert in foto's met ware kleuren en zonder kleurfranjes rondom contrastrijke randen.
Gebruik en Compatibiliteit
Een kortste scherpstelafstand van 24,7 cm geeft de fotograaf de vrijheid om dicht op het onderwerp te komen zonder verstoring. De filtermaat van 67 mm biedt mogelijkheid tot het bevestigen van uiteenlopende filters voor verdere creatieve controle. Met een gewicht van 638 gram is de lens relatief lichtgewicht en geschikt voor langdurig handmatig gebruik. De solide bouw en het zwarte ontwerp geven de lens een professionele uitstraling die goed in balans is met de overige apparatuur.

Followed by the success of the Laowa 60mm f/2.8 2:1 Macro, the 100mm f/2.8 2:1 Macro is the 2nd member of Laowa 2:1 macro line-up. It features an apochromatic (APO) characteristic that chromatic aberration at both ‘in-focus’ & ‘out-of-focus’ is both invisible. This new 100mm lens can cover full frame sensor size and focus from 2:1 magnification to infinity. The lens has a similar physical size to other 100mm Macro lenses in the market but its wider magnification range allows macro photographers to capture subjects at any sizes. This 100mm f/2.8 lens can also focus to infinity and serve as a portrait lens with exceptional optics quality.\n\n2:1 Magnification at same physical size\nLaowa 100mm f/2.8 2:1 Ultra-Macro is the second 2:1 Macro lens that we have (The first one is the 60mm f/2.8). 100mm is one of the most common focal length for macro photography usage. All of the 100mm macro lenses in the market can only reproduce 1:1 magnification (life-size) image only. The extended 2x magnification means more details can be seen through the lens.
