A lost princess. A prince determined to protect her. And a villain who will stop at nothing to find her. Twenty-one years ago, the princess of the Sun Court Fae was kidnapped and thought lost forever. Elemental prince Kiernan is determined to prove his worth and distance himself from the reputation of his absent, abusive father. When rumors of the princess' survival reach his ears, he jumps at the chance to investigate the shocking possibility - for how could an elemental princess survive unnoticed on earth - a place where magic is outlawed? After enduring years of experimentation and punishment at the hands of a sadistic captor, Claire made a daring escape. For years, she's been one step ahead of the one who imprisoned her, but those steps have taken her far from the dream of a place to call home. When Kiernan - mysterious, charming, and surprisingly protective - enters her life, she dares to dream of more. Relentlessly pursued by her captor, Claire and Kiernan must flee to the realm Kiernan calls home. Can she learn to trust him and his family's vows of safety and support? Or will the fears of her past consume her like wildfire? Shadows of Smoke is an adult fantasy romance inspired by Celtic mythology and Arthurian legend. It is the first in a series of interconnected standalones and perfect for fans of Rebecca F Kenney and Clare Sager.
