Following the Story is the journey of a young man who refuses to believe that asking questions means he has lost his faith. The older he becomes, the deeper his questions become.
He begins examining the Bible, the Torah, ancient African history, language, etymology, archaeology, genetics, religious traditions, and the stories he inherited. He learns to ask not only "What do I believe?" but also "Who taught me this? Where did it come from? What does the original source say? What evidence supports it?"
His search eventually leads him to a question far more personal than all the others:
Where do I fit within the Bible?
For a young Black man discovering that his history did not begin with slavery, that Africa's story reaches deep into the ancient world, and that some religious teachings were shaped by culture, translation, tradition, and human interpretation, research becomes more than education.
It becomes reclamation.
Following the Story is not an invitation to abandon God. It is an invitation to stop being afraid of the questions that may lead you closer to truth.
Because sometimes questioning the story does not mean you stopped believing.
It means you finally started following it.
