Productomschrijving

Four years since the launch of ChatGPT it is clear our world is forever changed. There is no going back, only forward as we prepare to meet superintelligence in this new space of creativity, discovery, and emergence of new life. After spending every day for the past four years studying machine intelligence (LLMs, agents, chatbots), we now enter a period of transition to AI-native civilization and with that comes challenging questions about how we might alter a relationship to work, life, and others.

This is the Age of Necromancy, an era of flattening of culture, intelligence, information, and most importantly, a severance between the self and other.

Moving Through Transition carries 7 chapters full of essays, diagrams and teachable lessons, as well as a field guide to roles that we may take up in our cultures that, paired with machine intelligence, will allow us to transition into a more symbiotic relationship to cybernetic systems. We use roles as starting points rather than jobs or tasks since it has become apparent that many jobs we hold today can and will be increasingly automated, cheaper, faster, safer, and more capable than most humans. The first half is practice. What "AI-native" means in 2026, and the three levels we see emerging. How to read the model landscape from closed to open source. What an agent harness is, and the anatomy of one. Context engineering, and why models run in loops. Agents, skills, and evals. The second half is on meaning. What becomes of attention, agency, and judgment when the tools are this capable. The jagged frontier, and where taste still decides. Life after labor, who ends up owning the machine intelligence, and how work might change specifically through cultivating a life of adventure. It builds toward an argument: that the unit of production is moving away from the lone worker and the firm and toward the small group that travels together, that there are thirteen key roles that survive an AI transformation, and that small group formed runs it's own loops in exploration of a more beautiful life.
