Productomschrijving

Nine days after a space mission is destroyed by an asteroid, a group of high school friends in the small town of Monovi, Nebraska discover a mysterious CD near a crashed meteorite. Blinc, a seventeen-year-old boy haunted by his father's death seven years ago, is the one who finds it.

When they play the CD, a voice speaks to Blinc — calling him by name, knowing his deepest fears, and forcing him to relive the night his father died. Soon, a terrifying creature called a Karbu appears — nine feet tall, thin, with black eyes and burned skin. It attacks them, and the group barely escapes.

The CD transports them to another world — a dark, twisted version of their own town, where the sky is violet and thunder has no sound. In this world stands a massive tower, surrounded by a lake of violet water. Inside, they find ancient symbols, a throne, and a prisoner locked in a violet stone cage.

Blinc discovers that he has powers — blue lightning, glowing eyes, floating hair — which emerge when he's in danger. But he can't control them. Each time he transforms, he loses himself. Meanwhile, the Karbu are everywhere, hunting them.

Amili, Blinc's close friend, is taken by the Karbu. The group must steal the CD back from a high-security military base, return to the other world, and save her. But they are not alone — a mysterious armoured man fights them, and the prisoner in the tower may hold the key to everything.

The story explores trauma, friendship, sacrifice, and the cost of power. It ends with the discovery that the armoured man is Lady — and that Amili's real father is someone else. Beneath the armour is a woman, watching Monovi from the tower, as the town plunges into darkness.
