Our study has shown that the neuropsychopathological centre is frequently consulted during the chronic phase of a stroke. Treatment there involves the frequent use of cerebral oxygenators, neurotropic vitamins and corticosteroids - medicines whose efficacy has not been formally established but whose cost remains exorbitant for many patients.
