His true passions are drinking and donning the whites for Northcowl Cricket Club, preferably at the same time.But when his father-in-law, the conniving Bevan Bexley, exploits his sway on the Welsh County Cricket Association's board to boot Terrence from the team, our hero is exiled to the ragtag misfits of Saint Piven's Cricket Club-infamously the worst amateur side in all of Wales (at least the pub serves the beer cold).Now, Ponce must captain a team featuring an irritable wicketkeeper older than cricket itself, a mullet-rocking Aussie womaniser, a short Sri Lankan with a baffling love for steaks, and a surprisingly talented fielder who happens to be a pretty brunette. Alongside them is Kitty, Ponce's ever-loyal nanny, who's determined to keep him in line (or at least sober enough to swing a bat).With St Piven's first victory in over three decades on the line, Terrence faces a cricketing duel against his former teammate, the smug Tuffy-a man Ponce suspects is dating his ex-wife. Terrence knows that being a gentleman might mean limiting himself to just four pre-match drinks to reclaim his honour and teach Bevan, Tuffy, and his former club a lesson they won't soon forget.
