The Sony XB-43 is a very good speaker, but it does lack a few things.
The design of the speaker looks very classy, ad looks more like a speaker for indoors or to be placed in a living room.
The LED light does give the speaker a modern look, due to the wide range of colours and modes, but it is not a necessity for this speaker.
The battery life is pretty good, but it does need to be charged duently during the week if you use it a lot and if you have the LED on while playing on the extra-bass mode.
For the IP68 statement, I was not convinced at first, and after testing the waterproof ability of the speaker, I found that some water was able to get into the LED part of the speaker.
The water eventually evaporated and this did not affect the light or quality of sound from the speaker.
Lastly, the speaker has three momodesExtra-bass, live sound ,and Stamina. The extra-bass mode has, of course, a lot of basses which makes the music sound full but it felt like the damping some of the music live sound mode makes the music more acoustic and “life-like” as if you were looking at the artist playing; stamina mode is the longest battery life mode, but the sounds is high pitch and with little to no bass at all.
