Het betreft hier de Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Asferische lens, een cameralens specifiek voor Sony A-camera's. De lens heeft een grootste diafragma van 2.8 en een kleinste diafragma van 22, wat betekent dat de lens een breed scala aan lichtomstandigheden aankan. Deze lens, uitgebracht in april 2014, is in één kleur verkrijgbaar: zwart. Houd er rekening mee dat deze lens geen beeldstabilisator heeft, dus een stabiele hand of het gebruik van een statief is aanbevolen voor het beste resultaat.

The Samyang 14 mm is a ultra wide-angle manual focus lens designed for both Full-Frame and APS-C cameras.\n\nIt features exceptional optical performance, regardless of its price class, throughout the image from its centre to borders. Even when used wide open at f2.8 its quality is excellent, and is perfectly suited to landscape photography requiring a high quality wide angle lens, and suitable for either professional or amateur photographer and videographers.\n\nWhen using it on an APS-C DSLR - the field of view is still equivalent to approximately 22mm (35mm equivalent) which is still impressively wide, It produces an immense field of view - 114 degrees on full frame sensors, 93.9˚ (APS-C with 1.5x crop factor), or 89.9 ˚ with Canon EOS (1.6x crop factor)\n\nThe Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical Lens features high build quality, with a built in petal shaped lens hood to help shade the lens from light sources behind the camera. Constructed from metal and high quality plastic, the 14mm features a smooth dampened manual focus ring, the aperture ring features 1/2 EV steps.\nTests and reviews carried out by respected independent reviewers and professional magazines confirm the lens’ excellent optical properties and high build quality.\n\nThe Samyang 14mm features a wide, ribbed manual focus ring which is smooth and well-damped.
