Description du produit

What remains when the life you trusted has been reduced to ashes?

In the Heart of Christ begins in the aftermath of marital betrayal and profound relational rupture, but it does not remain there. Drawing from Catholic theology, Scripture, and the spiritual tradition of the Church, Oscar d'Jesus explores the difficult passage from woundedness toward truth, freedom, surrender, and a deeper availability to God.

This is not a book that asks the wounded person to call evil good, excuse betrayal, abandon prudent boundaries, or confuse forgiveness with automatic reconciliation. Instead, it carefully distinguishes Christian surrender from self-erasure, responsibility from control, forgiveness from denial, and freely chosen self-offering from suffering imposed without consent.

Through the recurring images of ashes, fire, and the chalice, the reader is invited to descend beneath the identities, attachments, fears, resentments, and illusions that suffering can expose-not to discover a divine self hidden within, but to recover the truth of the human person as creature, gift, and recipient of grace.

What begins among the ashes gradually turns toward Christ.

The ultimate question is no longer simply whether what was broken can be restored, but whether the person who has passed through the fire can become free enough to receive life again as gift and return it to God in love.

In the Heart of Christ brings the reader to the threshold of kenosis-the mystery of Christian self-emptying-while insisting that authentic self-gift can arise only from truth, freedom, grace, and communion with Christ.

The ashes are not the destination.

In the Heart of Christ, even ashes can become light.
