Description du produit

This study examines the effect of different nitrogen application rates on the yield parameters of an irrigated "Karim" durum wheat crop and on nitrogen dynamics. The study was conducted during the 2007-2008 growing season at the Northern Agricultural Development and Operations Company (SEDAN). The research was carried out on three plots with different crop rotations. The crop's nitrogen requirements were estimated using the balance method. The results showed that Plot 3, whose previous crop was corn, had the highest total nitrogen content. This was due to the beneficial effect of the previous crop, which did not deplete the soil of nitrogen, and to the forms of nitrogen applied (urea, ammonium nitrate). For plot 2, where the previous crop was oats, a higher protein content was recorded, demonstrating the effect of nitrogen fertilization on the plant's nitrogen (N) content. In conclusion, all three plots studied achieved the target yield (50 qx/ha), and plot 3 recorded the highest yield.
