Mohr Siebeck Die unverzichtbare Wissenschaft - The Indispensable Science Livre de poche

Like Wolfgang Ernst's academic and creative work, this volume, published on the occasion of his 70th birthday, is likewise characterized by the diversity of methods employed and topics explored. Authors associated with the honouree from various countries address questions from all periods of European legal history and from a wide range of legal fields and legal systems. One focus lies on the core areas of civil law. German and Swiss law are examined alongside Anglo-American common law, in a total of three languages. The contributing authors are united by the aspiration to contribute to the field of legal scholarship, which the honouree himself has cultivated so impressively with enthusiasm and an insatiable drive for research.
