Libri GmbH Le plan d'ingénieur : des projets au palais : 1

Omar Abdul Hakeem was born into the concrete of Brooklyn and raised in the sanctuary of the Johnson Projects in Harlem. His father a Korean War veteran civil engineer and Aikido master had a vision of success that stretched across the Atlantic. In 1984 that vision became a reality when he extracted his family from New York and moved them to a palace in Casablanca Morocco.

But you cannot build a life on someone elses dream.

From the rigorous Arabic classrooms of North Africa to the drug heavy streets of 1990s New York Omars journey is a Series of Unfortunate Events that defies every rags to riches cliche. This is the raw skin off the bone account of a man who was once scouted as a model in San Francisco only to find himself sleeping in college bathrooms while earning two degrees in Business Accounting.

In this deeply personal testament you will witness.

The Social Architecture of Survival is A firsthand look at navigating Oakland when the world seems designed to keep you out.

The Biological Weight is The reality of living with G6PD deficiency a blood disorder that turns every winter into a battle for warmth.

The Urban Pedestrian is Why not knowing how to drive became a shield allowing Omar to witness the American Reality from the pavement.

The Statistical Victory is A defiant reckoning of a man who survived the projects addiction and homelessness without ever seeing the inside of a jail cell.

An Engineers Blueprint is more than a memoir. It is a rhythmic soulful exploration of identity misplaced loyalty and the courage it takes to demolish a fathers flawed palace to find your own truth.

Lord I am just a soul whose intentions are good. Please dont let me be misunderstood.

The 13th Winter is over. The blueprint is finally complete.
