It wasn't until March of 2020 that the idea of homeschooling ever crossed my mind. If you had school aged kids at that time, you were thrown into homeschooling without being asked or given a choice. As a lifelong career woman, I used to look cross eyed at people who said they homeschooled their kids. Back then, it wasn't common - and it certainly wasn't something I ever imagined for my own family.
I'm no expert in homeschooling, but there is one thing I want to shout from the rooftops - something I want every parent to know, whether you already have kids or hope to someday:
Choosing to homeschool has been the hardest, greatest, most rewarding decision my husband and I have ever made.
Before 2020, no one in my life talked about homeschooling. I didn't have a friend to ask for advice. I didn't have a mentor. I didn't even know what I didn't know. I had no idea what I was missing.
Now that I've lived it - now that I've seen what it has done for my family - I'm beyond excited to share my journey with you.

For years, I had it backwards. I followed the trends, the expectations, and the norms of what the world told me to do - in my career, with my kids, even in my marriage. But walking through this terrifying, stretching, incredibly rewarding chapter has transformed every life in our household.
