The Neighborhood Watch Dogs began with three very real dogs who are absolutely convinced that keeping their humans safe is a full-time job.

Athena, Dorito, and Lucky really do spend their days watching windows, investigating suspicious noises, keeping an eye on people passing the house, and protecting their family from dangers both real and imagined. And then there is Cujo-the strange-looking "puppy" who somehow behaves exactly like a cat.

The humans in this story are real, too. Ma, Papa, Jay, Noodle, and Manny share their home, their furniture, their snacks, and apparently their need for constant supervision with this unusual security team.

ADorKy is a name made from pieces of our family-a fitting name for a story that belongs to all of us.

This book was created from the funny little moments that happen when animals become family and we start wondering what the world must look like through their eyes.
