INDUCTION Induction technology is available on freestanding, built-in hobs and range cookers.
It works by heating the pan rather than the hob, creating a smarter, faster, safer and more precise way to cook. When a pan is placed on an induction hob, it completes a magnetic circuit below the hob’s surface, this creates energy within the pan’s base, which in turn heats the pan. As the heat is only heating the pan and not the zoned area no energy is wasted.
Induction gives you outstanding low-heat performance and increased control. Perfect for dellicate sauces, you can even melt chocolate directly in the pan.
An induction hob can boil water considerably faster than a ceramic hob and it is twice as fast as a gas hob.
Induction hobs work with any pan that has iron in its base. Use a magnet to check if your pan is suitable - if it connects to the base of your pan, it will work on the induction hob.
Smarter: Intuitive technology means you can pause, recall your last temperature or even programme when your hob turns off, helping you to achieve perfect results.
Faster: It’s nearly twice as fast as a gas hob and 30% faster than ceramic. You have the option of power boost which draws additional power when required – perfect for wok cooking.
Safer: The hob will not function unless a suitable pan is placed on the zone and if left unattended for a long period all cookzones will automatically turn off.
Greener: Induction cooking doesn't lose any heat through convection, so it's 30% more efficient than a gas hob and 25% more than a ceramic hob.
ELECTRIC CONVENTIONAL OVEN An oven that uses heat from the elements at the top and base of the oven. Heat rises so the oven is cooler at the bottom and hotter at the top.

For smaller portions you can use just the inner section of the grill width for economy, using the full width of the grill if you're feeding the family.
FANNED DEFROST A function where the oven fan assists defrosting by circulating air around the food.

Conventional Oven - This function is ideal for traditional roasting as the top of the oven is hotter than the bottom. The meat is placed in the middle of the oven, roast potatoes towards the top.

Base Heat - The base heat can be used towards the end of cooking to provide additional browning for pizzas, pies and quiche.
Base Heat with Fan - The base element cooks the base of your open pies, while the fan allows the air to circulate around the filling.
Defrost - The fan assists defrosting by circulating room temperature air around the food, it is more hygienic and is done in half the time.
Fanned Oven - Heat is distributed evenly through the oven by the integrated fan. Perfect for batch baking.
Intensive Bake - Suitable for food with a high moisture content, such as quiche, bread and cheese cake. It also eliminates the need for baking pastry blind.
Fanned Grilling - Circulates heat around the food, making it ideal for thinner foods such as bacon, fish, gammon and steaks.
Conventional Grilling - This function cooks food from the top and is ideal for a range of food from toast to steaks. As the whole grill is working you can cook large quantities of food.
